Default custom exhaust fitment question.....

just wanted to know if the stock catalytic convertor will fit with a 2.25" piping kit, i mean does the cat have to be the same diameter? would i need to get an aftermarket cat? or do they just put some kind of adapter? i can't afford to get another cat really, but i would like it to flow evenly

also since dynomax super turbo muffler is only in mild steel, can muffler shops weld stainless pipes against mild steel or do they need to be same material? (kind of dumb question) i just want to make sure before ordering parts, if they should be the same or not

thanks, ok so thats cool about the mild steel and stainless combination

what about the stock cat size?, cause i think the stock piping is only like 1-3/8" or something for stock crx, so would that mean the stock cat is that size? cause if so, would'nt this defeat the whole purpose of me getting 2.25" exhaust setup?

are they able to fit 2.25" pipe to the cat also? if its smaller
