Hey guys, here is some background on my intents of purchasing a car:

My girlfriend is in her second year of college and relies heavily on me for transportation. I have picked her up to bring her home and brought her back to school every weekend. I'm also in school (third year) so that is the only time I can pick her up and get her to her job (I got her a job at the same place I work, so we work together on the weekends). She pays for everything on her own, and is barely able to make the payments for her tuition. She needs another job on the weeknights to afford to STAY in school (since as you very well may know, tuition is rising) but this requires a car. Her family situation is horrible, but I won't get into that now - she has nobody to help her but me. If anyone deserves a car, its her. I really want to give her this opportunity.

I need a car, $1500 or less, that is in GOOD working condition, that will be cheap to fix if needed, and that looks OK (not demolished). I don't car what you have as long as it fits this criteria it will be considered!

If you live in the NY | NJ | CT | PA area and have something for sale, please post it and I would love to come check it out. I'm willing to travel.

I have already looked at one car (95 Civic EX) that I believed was going to be "the one" but it has a salvage title and was wrecked again, requiring alot of $ to fix just to pass inspection, unfortunately falling out of our price range

Hey its not a honda but i have a 94 chrysler concord with 150,000 miles on it. The car runs and looks good. The only problem is the trans knocks in reverse, a used trans is $400.00. But if your interested i can get pics for you. $750.00 for the car.

I'm selling my 88' mazda rx7, it runs great. i use it as my daily driver now, i commute about 1 hours daily just to work and back. i'd be willing to accept 1500 without my subwoofers and amplifer. let me know

 

my girlfriend has a 94 corrola 5spd. 135k CT highway miles. no problems at all. was asking 1800 but may be willing to negotiate

bump for Alex look around the local area man I bought my old EF hatch out there for 600 bux 102k on it (Barts current car... you prob seen it outside mama's before some old lady drove it and her son).....my buddy who sold you the ITR interior parts just got a EF hatch out there for 150 with little rust for a beater! BTW Ben always finds these deals ...atleast those 2

well if you go with a 88-91 (nothing wrong with the EF's ) I saw them ranging from about 300-1200

i got a 92 civic hatchback cx with a single cam vtec engine for 1500. engine runs really good but the body needs work. the back interior has been stripped but can be put it back in. the rims and suspension has been put back to stock
