HELP with ACL bearings!

Default HELP with ACL bearings!

do i need to get my crank resized and/or my block line honed for these to be able to work? i am planning on building the bottom end my self and was just wondering about your experience with these.

have you measured the crank and rods already to see what bearing sizes you need?

no. but i do know the acl's are sized to the honda green bearing which are the middle bearing size for honda

Install the ACL's and plastiguage them. If they are off by alot on certain journals then you can replace those ones with OEM. 90% of the time the ACL's are right on.

Just curious, could you guys list in order from loosest to tight the oem bearings color? The chart in the shop manual seemed to indicate that greens were the tightest, but that doesn't seem to make sence. Also if you happen know what the approx size or size difference of the different oem main crank bearings are, that be very useful also.

do a search on earl he has put all the hondas bearings thickness on here i saw it a while back

do what he said. i just did a rebuild with my b16 and i used acl's and they were dead on with the clearances. i have been running them hard for over 3k miles and i haven't had any problems yet. ACL
