front upper control arms
How hard is it to change the front upper control arms on a 95 accord. The ball joints are worn out and they need to be done. I cannot replace the ball joints on this model though.
thanks

Its a piece of cake. Remove tire. You'll need a ball joint separator to split apart the control arm from the rest of the suspension. loosen the top 3 bolts from under the hood and it comes right out. reverse to install. also you'll need somthing to rest your rotor on once you separate the suspension from the upper control arm. Trust me. You can do it.
thanks, do i still need the ball joint separator if they are completely worn out and torn up? also, where would i get something like that? thanks again

3 bolts is if you are dropping out the strut. If you are dropping your upper control arm (a-arm) you need to drop out your 2 camber bolts and the arm will drop.

Oops you're right bagged93accord, my bad. Yes its the top 2 bolts to drop the upper control arm. You can rent the ball joint splitter at your local Autozone for a few bucks. You'll need a hammer too.
