how long do i have i need to know
Im really worried about something. Im not sure if by the time im old enough (as in able to afford it) to get a type r if ill be able to afford it. Do you all think that the price is going to start going up really high one day or will it keep declining. Or will they just dissapear from them getting wrecked and stolen. Where do you all think the price of the type r will be in ten years basically.
its a hard question to acuratly answer. it is a limited car and they are dissappering
at an alarming rate. I think that you will be able to afford a high milage r in ten years as at least half of the remaining ones will be. the low milage ones will bring
a nice price but it depends where you live and condition. There are no plans to bring an R to the U.S. so that could keep the price up a bit. if a new model comes
that lives up to the badge the older ones could suffer a bit. Lastly with the evo and
the sti out there if thats the look of things to come the r could get real affordable
as alot of people may go that way (The reliability issues from non honda cars make alot of us leary to purchase a non honda cars) the new rsx with 210 hp is a
great step for us here in the U.S. maybe honda is gonna get on board and boost
up the HP for the U.S. folks to compete with those turbo cars. The great thing about
being you is there is alot of nice used cars that will be available to you in the next ten years! Now that we can get good gas milage and keep the emissons low I see more performance cars comming down the pipe for years to come. sorry for the ramble.

Even if the new RSX-R comes to the states, it will not carry the same prestige...until Honda goes back to the double wishbone suspension, the price of our R's will hold firm. If they do go back to wishbone, you'll see the value of our cars drop IMHO.
The price will start to rise and should never stop because they are getting harder and harder to find a 'Mint' one. Even at this time If you searched I bet you could only find a hand full that I would call 'mint'.
Imagine 5 or 10 more years...
All though I have no plans on selling mine I might one day in the very far future, And trust me its not going to be cheap.
in ten years the prices will range from where they are now to the very high 20s maybe even into the 30s.
But go past the 20 year mark for the ITR and your talking a different ball game, it will be listed as a collectible and will cost a very pretty penny to purchase on then, if the car and title are in decent shape.

I know you like your car man, but I think your post is wishful thinking. Although I hope you're right since I own one too, lol.

do you really think the type r is that much better because of the double wishbone up front?
it seems that the 02- 05 type s is a much better car...technologically... i.e chassis rigity, engine... and the 05 type s has greater suspension improvements
with the right suspensin tuning, the type s can be great also... i don't see why the type r is that much better, because of the wishbone up front...
and i have owned 2 itr's

Have someone drive an ITR and then an RSX around the track...the ITR will have better times...
The realtime racing guys are frustrated with Honda's decision to go with the Macpherson Strut up front...The RSX is more luxury; not as raw as the ITR.

I saw a Best Motoring video on the DC2-R vs. the DC5-R race. Guess who won?
Edit: By the way Justin Klemgold, that quote in your sig is HILARIOUS.

How old are you? You gotta be a little older than 6 or 8, and I'm not sure where you live but in CA you can start driving when you are 16...
Now affording one is a different question. I am still working on that one myself.
