Default ABS light??

Hi ALL!! Just bought a 94 Honda Accord EX,being this is my first honda I got a lot of questions (the car didnt come with a manual). What is that funny sound coming from the the drivers side close to the headlight(sounds like a electric motor) after it stops theres a hissing sound. Is this related to a off and on ABS light on the dash?? Any inputs please. Thanks
BTW This is a solid built car for its age,are most hondas like this??

ok i had the same promlem...what it is is there is a bronze looking tube near the headlight right next to that there is a container that says high pressure...its for you ABS....you might have a leak or soemthing cuz the brake fluid is leaking out..thats what happened to mine...so i jsut added some more fluid ever 2 weeks or so and then i got tired of doin that and i just pulled out the ABS relay and all that good stuff...i hope this helps you

well damn, i guess the 94 accord has a defect on its hands. my EX coupe is doing the exact same thing these days. After a local tech looked at it, i was told it's being caused by an internal leak in the ABS system. The light turns on every other hundred Km's and the mechanical sound is every other minute. And to get it really fixed, so that the system functions properly all the time, it's going to be about $700US job. It, of course not being performance related, (yeah, so it's hazardess, especially up here in canada) i'm just going to live with it.

Thanks guys for the input, a local mechanic confirmed there was a leak and he wanted a arm and a leg for the repair, well as long as the brakes still work Ill have to wait for a pay increase. Another thing the speedometer needle fluctuates with a constant speed, is this another $$$ repair? Still this is better than my last car,a pos chyrsler whose tranny crapped out plus the electric door lock, windshield wiper etc.....and it only had 60k on it. NEVER AGAIN!!

Make sure you know how to brake without ABS before disabling the system or writing it off. Threshold braking in no way compares to what ABS does
