Who Thinks This Would Look Pretty Cool? (Probably Unique)
Well you guys may have seen some of my threads about my car being vandalised.
Well I got the guy to admit it was him and instead of him going to jail and getting chanrged and such, I waived all that for a written confession, apology, all my parts returned (he already sold my harness) and $1000 cash.
Police were cool with it but made a record type deal so I couldnt claim insurance and it would show on his record if it was ever pulled.
Well anyways, my car needs to be painted since it was keyed, the paint was already shot. And with this $1000 hes giving me Im going to buy a set of used slipstreams that are in need of a repaint ($175) heres my idea on a budget:
Car: 88 Crx Si
Body: Moulded Invader kit, Invader hood, WW whale tail
Now I plan to paint the entire body flat black and paint the slipstreams bronze with a polished lip or just straight bronze
I personally think it would look really good, and totally different from everything in my area.
Ive never seen a flat black car and my area is still competely "show scene" and I dont feel like putting money towards a fancy paint job and rather to upgrading my turbo setup.
Opinions? And yes I like the way the car looks and Im 18

My opinion is dont get any body kit..and dont paint the wheels red..
Use the money for suspension or something that will help with performance
or find a body shop that will paint it good for $1000..

If you paint it flat black you should do it right with a spray gun and quality paint or else its just gonna look cheap. Most of the rattle can jobs I've seen look pretty shitty, and I'm just not that big on flat black anyways.
If I was in your situation I would have gotten enough money out of them to get a full paint job, or at least as much as I possibly could. Depending on how much damage they did you could have gotten this without too many threats. And then I would re-paint the car.

The red rims will just be too flashy IMO and unless you have a garage this time around, you're asking for the car to get noticed. Now have you ever thought of just some nice gunmental rims?
having your car look like that, its for sure to get vandalized, again
dont do **** to the interior (no tv, speaker etc bullshit) that draws the theives, take the body kit off cause thats rice, plain and simple. sell it to a ricer for some quick cash then spend that money on your turbo, didnt you say you have a turbo setup?

I like the body kit and I cant just take it off lol. Its completely moulded except for the front and taking it off would mean a lot of work (probably 2 weeks) and I would have to spend the money buying oem **** and I like it and I dont have the time to do it so its staying.
Yes Ive got a motor build turbo project going, I already have a completely built A6 from the ******* to the toes, just spent $300 on a venom intake mani today actually
Shooting for 350whp off of the bottle, 400 on
Im liking the flat black car with red wheels and a polished lip
Ive just never seen rotas in red
Obviously it isnt hard to change it if I didnt like it, but its hard to tell what you will and wont like you know

its in your car's best interest to not put a wing on it. put the money towards that turbo setup tho and then find someone who will do single-stage urethane, its better than primer.

Why not just get the Rota GT3s that already come in red with a polished lip? They look better in red than Slipstreams would IMHO . . . and you wouldn't have to paint them yourself.
I've seen the "royal red" GT3s on a primer "black" G5 Civic and they look pretty good.

hmmm...a flat black "invader" kitted EF? i'm not sure about that IMO. if i was to kit a car, it would have a "good" paint job.

Im definetely not passing up slipstreams for under 2 bills, and I would refuse anyways to put $700 wheels on a car worth barely more

Since when do Rotas cost $700?
I found shots of the G5 Civic, and I was mistaken - they are not GT3s (I think they are actually painted Circuit 8s), but they look good nonetheless:

hell yeah give it the mad max treatment, flat black and bronze rims. If you saw Sport Compact Car either last month or the month before, they did it to the project WRX Sti. They used Krylon Industrial Rust Tuff (22cans), and used tack cloths to pick up any "dried in air" paint. I would get it done professionally tho.
to u, cuz flat black and bronze rims is just bitchin'. And keep the body kit, it'll look to plain with flat black if u don't

i hate fads( i think flat black is one), flat black looks almost like primer if you ask me. I like colors that look finished.....flat black looks unfinished....that is just my 2 cents though!
i think that would be pretty sweet i have a honda bubble back with a custom body kit which i made from plywood and duct tape it looks pretty sweet but the tape didnt match the primer color of my car so i just duct taped my hole car it makes it more aerodynamic and adds about 20 - 35 horsepower to the Muffler i have 30 holes in my muffler to release backpressure also and it sounds pretty mean i will have pics soon from my 1st place finish at the nopi nationals i had some tough competetion a TT supra came in second he didnt have anything on me tho well all u civic lovers like me im gonna go race some mclarens and put them to shame peacey.

if you've seen the new Skunk2 civic's paintjob you'll notice that it's more of a finished-looking flat black. IMO to have a good looking fb car you need to have it sprayed w/ a satin clearcoat after the fb paint. It evens out the paint and adds shine w/ out being glossy/flashy.....i vote for black rotas......
im definetly not a domestic guy im a civic guy domestics are so slow its not even funny my civic will beat any domestic there is ill have pics soon of my bubbleback it has about 750 hp to the muffler tip.
no body kit, flat black the rota's do all the body work needed on your car and get is sprayed flat. would make one hell of a sleeper...
the only CRX/equivalent Civic kit i like is a wings west i think called racing series (RS) which everyone has around me...

Go away, retarded troll.
Go away, retarded troll.
I think you are asking for trouble all over again.
Get your paint fixed with a somewhat stock looking color.
Get your wheels and don't make them flashy.
Your car got vandalized - you do not want to have stolen next now do you?
