Don't want to post this in the classifieds just yet because I don't know exactly how much to even ask for this shtuff, so I am getting a feel for it here then I can post a for sale there. Like the title says Mods you can relocate if appropriate.

Z6 Head-Came off a car my brother but a new motor in the block was junk but we kept the head around just in case we ever needed it for anything. Its in perfect shape the block it was on spun a bearing because the morons ran it out of oil but the head was unharmed. Still has the dizzy on it too.

Y8 short block-This came out of my 97 civic. My oil return line started leaking like a bastard and ran me out of oil on the freeway and I spun a bearing in it. It actually killed the bearing as clean as you could hope for so its all in really good shape just a little machine work to get it perfect again. If anything the block is perfect.

Edit: I forgot the block is missing the oil pan as well because of my unfortunate run in with a curb in a snow covered parking lot. I had to scavange a new oil pan off that motor.

Whats not to understand? I have a Z6 head in really good shape for sale and a Y8 short block which means it does not have a head on it but it has a spun bearing. I am looking to get an idea of what they might be worth. Because I have no idea and I looked around in the classifieds and didn't find much

I vote for around $125-$150 for the Z6 head, maybe a tad more if it has VTEC solenoid, all the small stuff with it. Seems like that's what I've seen them for.

As for the Y8 shortblock, not too sure about that. You're going to have to find someone willing to do the work to it.

Thanks the Y8 block I am not counting on getting much for it just someone who wants a spare block or something I would guess. Maybe like 100 bucks

The Z6 head has pretty much everything on it if I remember right I haven't looked at it in like 2 years.

Actually I think it has all the IM injectors everything on it now that I think about it

hmmm maybe ask 200 for all that.

 

If it has the intake manifold as well as all the injectors, fuel rail, blah blah blah, then yeah, shoot for $200 or so. It's always easier to start higher and then put obo there than to lowball yourself.
