Im using a bbk 70mm tb and at times my idle will be as high as 3k (this is after driving for awhile and finally pulling at a stop light or something). Anyhow, since it was at 3k and I pulled over and popped the hood to see what was going on. Found that by twisting the throttle rotor it closes and the idle returns to 1k. Thing is I cant keep pulling over to 'unstick' the tb plate. What can be done so my idle remains at 1k and the tb plate wont stick anymore? Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.
i have the same probem.......i think it stick everytime i drive, then when i'm at idle it stays at 1200, then drops to 800 after a couple of secs........at the track it stuck at 5k rpm!........mines a stock gsr tb bored by JG......maybe a defect or something.....you may want to call bbk or wherever you bought it from about exchanging it
i had the same probleme with a bored to 65 mm body......my probleme was that the throttle plate was off center....to fix it ,remove the body and loosen the screws holding the throttle plate on....open and close the plate a few times....it should center it...the retighten the bolts....
