Hf Adaptor plate

BOV

What I need to get is an intercooler, Fuel management things and several other peices before I begin on the project.

I was wondering if the following injectors could be used without any other fuel management pieces. Supposedly if I get that I wont need to use my aftermarket fuel pump or a FMU? is this correct? I was thinking about going the 1g DSM route cause I only want to spend around $200 on the fuel aspect.

I also need to get pipes for the intercooler, is there any way I could make them from pipes at home depot, etc? This is my beater car so I am trying to keep things cheap so I can still afford a SRT-4.

Using the HF manifold as a guide, center it on a piece of .75 x 4 x 5 inche flat steel plate that is roughly big enough to mate the header and turbo. Mark and center punch the four holes on the manifold. Drill and tap with a 10mm x 1.25mm tap .5 inch deep for all four holes, but do NOT go all the way through. If you prefer you can skip this process and weld the plate directly to the manifold. But i know some people dont have welders. Here is a pic of the adapter plate

This kit was priced for a civic, but with some common sense and parts searching a kit can be fabricated to fit any car, even your 1986 Le Baron.

 

Just in case that ^ didn't help, yes, they will work with your electronics. You might have to cut some tabs off of the plugs and drill out the injector seals but they will work.

Its cool I stole that from a mixture of sources including myself.

 

I thought everyone said turboing a si motor w/o a intercooler is a bad idea? also you ran on stock injectors? how long did your setup last?

I like this kind of ingenuity good info, Can this set up be smog-ed legal in Cal. if not its still a great budget build up for the weekend drag man.
