invest on some slicks to get your times down significantly.

With the right size slick, you can get your 60fts down to 1.8-1.9s. thats about .7-1.0 sec of your times.

I know Mickey Thompson make 22x8x15 which would be good for you. I personally would go w/ M&H 23x8x15's(I don't like M/T's) but, M&H doesn't make 22x8x15's so, do what you gotta do.

Yes, you can. That was your first time at the track and you'll have to keep practicing. Street tires will become boring after a while though(IMO). Get the slicks and have some fun

Everyone says to get slicks to lower the 60ft. What if you have slicks and your 60's still suck...lets say 2.6. How can I get that down from there ?

You'll have to explain your situation. Your case may be to big of tire w/ absolutely no power or something odd like that. 2.6 60's on slicks, unheard of!

Whats a typical 60' for you Honda guys that run in the 11's or low 12's?? I'm curious as to the comparison between the Hondas and Neons.

my setup is ls/vtec 83mm turbo w/ a Ls tranny(which i busted and on the hunt for a gsr). I borrowed a friends slick they were 22/8-15. I would rev to 4grand and my 60's wouldnt change. Turbo I am using is a sc61. I have a msd 2 step on its way, looking for a gsr tranny and going to put quaife in it. Hopefully I can lower my 60's. Where is a good place to launch to get them down to like 1.8-1.9?

Hehe, Old set up: stock GSR motor, stock GSR trans with OEM LSD diff., SC61, tuned on pump gas to 320whp, Gator Stg2 axles, 24.5x8.5x13 slicks, Crane ignition with launch controll. Launching at 8000rmp, consistant 1.64-1.66 60' with a best of 1.62.

With the new motor and power, all I have been able to do is a 1.71 from a launch of 7500. Of course that was the first and last shakedown pass due to a broken axle on the 2nd attempt

you should be able to pull atleast a 2.3 on even mostly bald skinny walmart radials... your 60 foots are horrible were you launching from idle, or launching off rev limiter and just dumping the clutch?
