Default Which makes more power?

I am not sure if this is allowed but I did some searching. In the near future I plan on purchasing a swap. I just can't detemine which makes more power for the money. I am leaning towards the ITR because of the tranny and you can sell the parts and buy others. I live in CA so I want to stay clean for emissions. I am just looking something close to 200whp. I will have to do more research on fuel upgrades and I don't plan on doing any headwork. I forgot where I read but isn't PP the head not such a good idea?

B18C1
I/H/E
CTR pistons
CTR or SS1 cams
Skunk IM

B18C5
I/H/E
CTR Pistons
CTR or SS1 cams
Skunk IM or is the stock IM good enough?

I'd go with the ITR motor. Porting is not a bad idea, as long as it's done by someone with knowledge on the matter.

I see ITR and CTR used cams in the classifieds for around 300. Pistons, I'm not sure, I've never priced used ones before.

both of your setup is waste of time and money...why do you even use the money for CTR cam and pistons on C5 anyway...

I am looking for N/A setup. I am sure the CTR cam or SS1 can achieve the 200whp. What do you recommend?

I thought the CTR intake cam is just like SS1 and the CTR pistons raises the CR. I would go for SS2 but isn't not CA legal?

Both of these setups will probably result in the same power. b18c5 will probably last longer though. I wouldn't build up a b18c5, though...it's a waste of a good motor.

1st there is no way CTR or ITR cams are better than any ss1 or ss2...second ITR cams are better than CTR cams in term of everything...
2nd if you intake, header, exhaust which is all NA need you must likely not going to past smog anyway....not including NA that have
3rd combination of ss1 + intake +header + exhaust + TB + IM + retainers...you won't pass for sure...
4th usual people wold go for ss2 cams...nowaday buddy club 3+ and 4 are gettting popular you might want to read up a little
5th wat year is your motor? OBD2 or 1....OBD2 need to convert to 1 to get it tune easier and get more juice...
6th sleeve the block,,,port + polish...
7th there is your 200whp

you need read up more....those info above aint help you much
bottom line is i dont think you goign to pass smog if you wanna tune your car..

Hytech header, any exahust, AEM CAI and some basic fuel tuning will just about do it
