Do these add power? Im skeptika
l bout my car Cuz I love her a lot......Shes the only one who has never let me down....do these really work? My friend has the same LX sedan I got and he installed it but it made his engine light come on.......If it don't work on his im guessin it wouldn't work on mine......But yea any help would be great

i think you should hook yourself up to a resistor, so you can resist asking dumb questions.

 

It's not a potato chip. It's an electronic component that doesn't let electricity to flow through easily.

Is it worth buying? The resistor seems 2 good 2 be true so I thought Id ask someone who knows

 

only if you know what youre doing with it. so in your case, i'd say steer clear.

 

the idea behind one of these resistors is that you plug it into your intake air temprature sensor and it adjusts the reading to the ECU to tell it that the air coming into the engine is acctually colder than it actually is. the effect of this is that the air/fuel ratio is messe with dumping more gas intot he engine becasue it thinks there is more air going in. THis is really uneffective becasue if there is not the correct amount of air then the engine will be to rich and not give you a huge increase in power. at most it may cause a slight decrease in power and an increase in gas consumption. and with prices these days who can aford to have gas being used in excess.
