we've all been here. okay, seriously search. it actually begins to be a lot of fun, moreso in your situation where you want to learn how to give you the best bang for the buck. search sucks when you want to figure out which shocks to buy. 90% of people's first mods are intake, headers, exhaust or more commonly referred to as i/h/e. You'll probably yield 10-18 REAL horsepower for about 600 dollars. You said you want to do air intake first. Definitely search for that. Yea aem is the most expensive, and to a degree people say its the best one. But in my eyes its not worth the price. People tend to think a 30 dollar ebay one is just the same. There's a comparo on here for intakes..actually i think it was just bumped recently. check the last few pages. I remember you saying you had 350 to spend on suspension. you could get exhausts and intake out of that easily. Just set yourself a goal. ie: to beat your friends lancer, to run a 15 flat, etc. it'll make your life a lot easier than just wanting more horsepower.

just saw you put 500. you can get i/h/e for that. oh and the most important thing you can learn. do things right the first time. if you cut corners, it WILL come back to bite you in the ***. In the automotive world, 95% of the time, you get what you pay for.
