D15Z1 swap into a 88-91
I just got a D15Z1 for free, and I want to put it in my winter civic, a 91 4 door. I realize this is an obdI engine and a obdO chassis, and that the engine is vtec...has anyone done a swap like this? It seems as though it should bolt right up...any info would be greatly appreciated.
Same as any OBD-1 VTEC swap EXCEPT that you would need all of the emissions equipment that came off the chassis of the car you pulled it from to run right. This motor was ment to save gas at every step, and everything was changed to do that, down to the ECU which is incompatible in most applications to my knowledge.

DAX helped me figure out how to wire a 4 wire O2 into my Z1 harness so i can run uberdata. i still haven't had a chance to find a sensor, nor the 4 wire plug (engine side) but soon after that, i'll go full management for boost, blow the motor on the dyno and slap in a JDM D15B.
the USDM VX 1.5 is useless, but damn, its fun.

If it works out for you let me know...that would be an interesting setup.
I would consider doing it if I wasn't getting as good of mileage out of my D15B2 as I am. I'm falling in love with my DPFI.
