no one worthy is on that test no rocket no omniman no supertech. imo the test is useless i know it was done long time ago there weren't much valvesprings offered. in the end it doesnt depend purely on how much pressure it has you know that right.
one of the rocket valvetrain that he offers had mad pressure if thas what you want. but too much pressure can lead to wearage of the camshaft or intense pressure can even snap the cam. why do people run portflow inners and itr outers on some of the best motors out there like the ones omniman built. and it has low sprign pressure? but it could still take the lift of the cam. why did omniman spring pressure at 56 or so lbs on the seat and rocket have other sprign that are a little less imo ideally you want lesser spring pressure that can take the cam and a lighter spring imo. theres probably a lot more factors liek weight n stuff. but correct me if i said anythigh wrong.

I don't know where they tested this stuff buy we ran Portflow springs with Skunk2 Stage 2s and I tested the springs at 55 lbs of seat pressure at the installed height when I 1st installed them. After about 7 passes down the 1/4 I got rid of them....tested them at 51 lbs of seat pressure when I took them out. This was in a race motor so it had a total equivalent of maybe 4 miles on the motor including dyno, idle time, and 1/4 passes.....and lost that much seat pressure.
Portflow springs are OEM Honda springs. In my opinion they just aren't enough if you plan on revving your motor, missing a couple shifts, or driving it around all the time. 55lbs is not enough. I tested some Skunks and they were 65 lbs.
We run the Ferrea springs and they have worked out great. For a street car the Skunks and the JUNs are sufficient. I suggest Crower...their quality is pretty hard to beat.

That test was done in 2001 hence none of the current top dawgs are included in that test.

good point! my personal opinion is to use the same s/r that were made for whatever cams your useing!

I honestly like the toda cus toda is the only one who has a progressive atyle valve spring and is very high lift cam friendly and is good upto 13mm lift....But the next one i like is supertech and affordable too...........specially for daily driven street car.......................
