well from the pic it looks wrong but i could be wrong, when i install a msd i go from in the dis the red wire goes to the pos on the coil and the white wire goes to neg, with the stock wires disconnected, then you put the orange wire from msd to the pos on the stock coil and the black from the msd to the neg side of the stock coil and you should be fine try that and see what happens..
oh ok,
-take your dizzy cap off, take rotor off, take dust cover off
-when looking at dizzy from the passenger side fender there are 2 wires that are connected by to screws (top right of dizzy)
-one wire has a square flag connector (pos), the other is your neg. round connector
-msd wires= orange goes to pos, white goes to neg.
-you can either cut the stock connectors off and splice the msd wires right to the wires or get some spade connectors and modify the stock connectors to fit. i would get some spade connectors because you never know when you might ever want to take your msd out.
-then cut a groove on your dizzy cap so that you can put your cap back on. or drill a hole in your cap and then feed the msd wires orange and white through the holes.
- msd wire red goes to pos battery, black goes to battery neg or another good ground.
things to remember* disconnect battery terminals before wiring ( you could possibly blow your ignition fuse, then your car won't start)
-getting the rotor off can be a pain in the ***, once you've got the dizzy cap off you need to bump the motor over so that you can get to the srew that holds the rotor on, when i mean "bump" i mean turn over your car. off course your car wont start because the wires and the dizzy cap is off, doing this just rotates the rotor over so that you can get to the rotor screw.
-cut the two jumper wires on the msd ignition box for 4 cylinder use, jumper wires are located under the black cap on the side of the ignition box.
hope this helps, oh well (i'm tired of writing)
