I tried a search on this topic but 'HX' and 'EX' are too short to be included

I am wondering how different the exhaust for a 96-00 HX is from a 96-00 EX coupe? I got a catback A'pexi WS used from an HX. It fits on the car and functions, but rattles against the car and is a very tight fit. Also, it got rid of my cat?

Is the HX exhaust the same as LX/DX? I know they have their cat furthur up in the exhaust system. Is there any disadvantage in running like this besides the rattling and loss of the cat?

the rattling isn't from it being an HX exhaust, the WS has known issues rattling against the gast tank. Only difference is the mentioned cat.
