Default OIl pickup

Are they supposed to have little screens where the oil gets sucked up?

(please say no)

Yeah i have a dent in my oil pan. Hit my pickup square in the middle. Its all chewed with no screen.

Itty bits of the screen are probably in the filter now, after they made their way though the pump.

This is probably the reson im getting a code22 because my pickup was restricting oil flow.

Anyways.. Just have to wait till tues and order one, then hopefully my vtec will be working. I have heard of numerous people who have had a dent disable vtec.
