well i got an 88crx w/ an ls swap.. about 1 mile after i drive the car the cel turns on but wen i turn off the car the cel turns off..
what do u guys think is causing this problem?
i cant check the code with the paper clip trick coz the cel turns off after i turn off da car? any input on how to check the code? i dont wanna pay 50 bucks at shop jus to check for da code? any input would really help...

 

Ok, first off it is THE, no da. Spelling is your friend, learn to love it. Anyways, what OBD level are you running your swap at, 0 or 1?

Ok, since it is OBD-1 you will need to either jump it when the car is on or get one of those nifty code readers.

 

jump it as in use the paper clip wen the cel turn on (dont you have to turn it off the car then put it in the on to start reading the code)

 

with the car off put the paperclip in then turn on the ignition not the engine. your CEL should blink ur code

 

the cel light doesnt come back on when i turn the key on, it turns off..
well ill try that anyway just to see if it gives me a code..
