Default Problem with dim projector headlights....can someone help??

I have these Denji projector headlights on my 94 civic:

and the low beams are very dim and dark at night on the
road, the high beams are alright but they are about as
bright as the low beams SHOULD be, not high beams....
both should be brighter...i switched out the bulbs of one
of the beams with newer ones and theyw ere the same
brightness...

i dunno what else to really try..
i never see the kind of bulbs i need in a higher wattage
or anything like that...anyone else have this problem with
these projectors? i noticed the outer one on each side is
almost like a magnifying glass looking plasic...is that causing
the beam to be darkened or sumthing? at night its really
dark especially with my limo tint so i need some kind of
solution for this..thanks

I used to have denji projectors, and I hated them just for that reason. I recently put my OEM lamps back in, and around Christmas time my girl is buyin' me JDM headlights. I say just put your stock ones back in, it looks better, and it's brighter.

Well, since you've tried brighter bulbs and that didn't work. I'd say your SOL man. I'd honestly get your OEM ones back.

I remember i when i had those headlights along time ago, they came with a wiring harness that had some relays on it and had two constant powers that ran to the battery, do you have that? if you don't my guess would be that for some reason they need that extra power to work properly

It's because of the colored lenses. I have the same prob with my blue ion lens angel eyes. Hyperwhite bulbs cures the prob, but they blow fairly easy from getting so hot.

the only way that you're gonna get decent output from denji's (or most h3 projectors) is to replace them with hella h7 projectors or OEM hid projectors. h3 projectors are meant for foglights and will not put out a pattern good enough to replace factory low beams. you could put 300w bulbs in there, and your output will still suck. i had denji's on my accord, and my frined had denji's on his EG. 2 maglights would have been brighter. i sold mine and bought JDM lights, he put in Audi hella HID's

No, how bout we not spread false information.. actually it's beause they are H3 bulbs and foglight projectors.. AKA: Meant for FOGLIGHTS. If you want better light output then retrofit in some HIDs. Just make sure you do it right if you are going to do it at all. Otherwise, switch back to stock headlights with some nice bulbs.

Edit: This is Hatchy-OwnzJo0.. Why the **** is my brother logged in on my computer!? lol..

Um, actually I put in bulbs with higher wattage (hyperwhites) and it cured the problem with dim output. Common sense should tell you that a colored lens would reduce brightness of the headlights.
