Default are craftsman adjustable timing lights considered accurate?

im going to buy a timing gun but im alittle sceptical that an adjustable(dial type) would be accurate or even needed.

does anyone have any bad experience with a particular brand/style of light? thanks

I use a $30 autozone timing light... Theres nothing unaccurate about them, the light flashes when Cylinder 1 fires.
