My wife just took off on a trip and the engine light came on when she hit the road. It is the red engine light. 2003 honda accord V6. Anyone had experience with this or any ideas on causes. Dealership is closed and she must go to catch a flight. Less than 15K miles.

probably something minor like a bad o2 sensor. My girls car had a check engine light after 2k miles on her new corrolla and thats what it was. Best to get it to the dealership anyways or go to an AutoZone and they will pull the code for free.

If you have a 7th Gen you can hold down your odometer button and turn you key forward to the ACC position and back three times to clear the engine light Honda has set this up to come on when rotine maintnace is needed.
