Default vss wiring help

hey guys ive done the search and tried everyway that everyone has mentioned and still nothing. ive got a 96 ls cluster, with an 96 vss. black is ground, yellow/white is power, yellow/blue is signal. ive tried it all and still no vtec and no speedometer. WTF is going on please help if you can

im running a 91 hatch si
B16A obdo pr3 ecu
96 ls cluster with 96 vss

my question is the ground goes to black. the yellow/white goes to A15 on the ecu (power). and yellow/blue (signal) goes to the cluster and then to the ecu at B16. is this correct?

well Im not sure how you you wired up the signal wire but here is a little diagram I made that might help. The signal wire has to be split like a Y after it leaves the VSS. Run one end of the Y to the ecu and the other to the back of the cluster. Or maybe you have the power and signal wire switched.
