Went to the local 1/8th mile strip last night. My first time ever on a drag strip. Only got to run once cause I didnt get there till 9:30 and track closes at 10. My car spun like hell and started hopping towards the end of 1st gear when I let up on the gas. So when I went to shift to 2nd it popped into N for a sec .. I didnt even run 2nd up that high before going to 3rd. I also sit on the light way to long. I need more practice and better tires (almost bald BF goodrich 13's on VX wheels 175/70/13). SO here are my shitty times.

1992 CX hatch w/ AC
13" VX wheels
D16z6 Swap Stock except. Ignition advanced to 18 degrees.
Stock CX exhaust no cat
NO TACH

What would be some good tires for the VX wheels. Daily driving and some strip?

What times could I expect if I got my RT down and better tires to reduce 60ft?

R/T has nothing to do with your ET. The R/T is the time it takes for you to trip the beams to start your actual time.

You didn't even make a decent pass that one run so I wouldn't worry about it. Go back and make at least 5 runs then see what you need to do.
