Replacing rear quarter panel
I've been searching and haven't been very lucky with finding useful information on this. The rear passanger quarter panel has a massive dent in it. I can see that that piece of metal runs all the way over the top of the door. How easy do you think this would be to replace. Any replys are much appreciated.
is it passenger side or driver side? I just cut to quarters out of a junk car this spring im putting them on my crx that is sitting in my back yard rusting out
. You have to drill all the welds out and find a good spot to cut it out. Find a junk car and ask them if you can cut the quarters out with a torch or a saw zaw. Cut more than you need so when weld them back in that you have more to play with.
If you have more questions pm me.

10/10 hard task i must say. but not for a experienced professional.

Before you do anything; take the car to a frame shop and have them fully measure the frame for any damage!
Then go to Helmsinc and order the factory body assembly manual. It's different than the normal manual. It gives all the information as to how all the individual body panels go together.
Once that is all done, sit down with a cup of coffee and figure out what replacement of the panel will require and if you are capable of doing it your self. (factor into that if you have the tools to do it correctly)
Personally, I'd recommend that you talk to your insurance agent to see what body shop does good work and then talk to them. Get a quote for the work on the assumption that you will remove all interior and exterior body parts. Also have on the quote that they will spray the replaced area with a SEALER (not just primer) to prevent rust.

If she was rear ended, and there is a large crease in the quarter panel, then the frame could potentially be bent. Does the car drive straight?
