I just bought a used GSR and I wanted to know what I can and should do to it ? The car is in excellent condition and is a 95, black, with 67k on it.

Type r or CTR cams and vafc (change vtec crossover) for starters that will get you past lightly modded gsr's Then intake exhaust and header

 

One of my problems is that I have a warranty on the car and I'm not aloud to touch the engine. So what can I do to the car without touching the engine to make it faster? Just for looks I am adding tints and chrome tailights but I need help with making the car faster withouth loosing my warranty!

FuknGSR...what's wrong with puting in new tailights ?

 

Generally, that's considered to be "ricey". But if you think it's cool, do it. Don't let other people's opinions influence you.

And you can't really make your car faster without actually modding the engine....
you could do a few things though....

like the air in your tires. By changing the psi in your tires, you're supposed to get a tiny little bit better traction or so I heard.....

Can you mod your suspension? If yes, you might consider some aftermarket shocks/spring combo or the coil-over setup...etc...
Then, you'd want to get strut bars, sway bars, tie bars....etc...but too much is overkill in my opinion.

Since you can't touch the engine, I'd suggest work on your suspension first. Do a search for what's the best setup for your car and your driving style.

 

umm..no. Save yourself the embarrassment and do not get tailights. I laugh at people with messed up tailights..

Also, go with suspension parts if you don't want to do motor mods.

 

lightweight flywheel (chromoly :thumbup, some sorta LSD for your tranny, lightweight rims+good tires...maybe even an Si or TypeR tranny with LSD and closer gears...
and if you are allowed to, exhaust is not an engine mod and maybe a carsound cat or something....

 

Thanks everyone! Keep posting and giving me ideas. I'ms starting to get the feeling that I shouldn't get new tailights lol. So is everyone basically saying that you think that cars with new tailights look stupid? Is there a particular reason..other than saying "ricey"?

Basically, anything to make your car faster will void your warrenty. My car is a 00 Gsr with 22k miles on it and I dont really care about warrenty. Acura will last cause its Japanese.
