Default Will these tests tell me if a block is in good shape?

heres the story. im planning an ls/vtec setup (in a 99 Si), and i have a friend who is selling his Ls motor and buying a type-r motor. he will sell me the block for very cheap (the guy is loaded), but from being around that car a lot i know that he ran without an air filter for a couple weeks once becasue a clamp broke and he had no idea. Now i know there is the potential that dirt was sucked into the engine and could have possibly caused some scratches. Do good compression numbers ( meaning all 4 numbers are close together) and good leakdown results mean DEFINETELY mean that the block is in good shape?

IF it checks out of both tests, then there is no reason to worry about it.

Obviously, when you pop the LS head off to put the VTEC head on you should peep the cyl walls.
