While dropping the motor in the tps sensor broke off a bit. I soldered the wires on and when starting the car it runs real low like 200 rpms and when gasing it it takes a while to pick up. Is this the TPS sensor not working? Thanx

It could have been moved slightly when you hit and broke it, causing the incorrect voltage at closed throttle. It most likely could use a calibration.

How do you calibrate?

get a multi meter and set it in volts and with the middle wire on the tps connected to the red wire on the multi meter and black wire on the multi meter connected too ground at idle you should have .4-5 volts with the key on in the #2pos and at wide open throttle you should have 5 volts... if not it is out of calibration is so just unscrew the two screws and move it till it is in calibration.

they are on some of them, just cut the rivets off with a die grinder and replace the rivets with some screws

Anyone else know what it could be, ive checked around for stuff wrong but cant figure this out. Im using a 96-98 wire harness and ecu on a 00 motor. All plugs on the harness will pretty much only clip into one sensor right?
