Default Azenis vs. PZero Asimmetricos

Well, it has been at least 12 hours since somebody started a "What tires should I get" thread, so I thought I'd start one.

I have 15k on my R and have already gone through a set of stock RE010s and a set of PZeros. (Very little highway driving; mostly mountain roads. I'm probably a bit of a savage too.)

I plan to do several track days in the next six months, and I am not relishing the idea of chewing through a $600 set of PZeros in an afternoon. So I was wondering if Azenis might be a better substitute for the track. Anybody compared these two? I really don't care about wet handling.

i had p zero assym's on my delsol before. they were awesome. got 'em on clearence 195/50/15 on sale for like $60 from tirerack. then i had the azenis on my civic, similar suspension setup similar to delsol, just about 75 hp less. anyway, azenis feels just as good, if not better (prolly 'cause it's brand new, 3 of my pzero were sitting around for some 2 years, 1 was fresh). in any case azenis is very hard to beat for price/performance as far as street tires go.

keep in mind that these tires, given in identicle conditon/driver/car, would probably turn laptimes with in 1 sec. the real issue is how they feel. azenis gets two thumbs up from me. i also loved the p zero's, but they're expensive now.

Thanks for the feedback. If I don't like them I can always resell for a relatively small loss.
