Dying battery or alternator?
On Firday morning, I started my car as usual and drove it for about 20 min. Then parked it with everything off, closed the sunroof (moved slower then usual). In 30 min I came back to the car and it would not start. It kept clicking. I don't know how old the battery is. There is no green light in the glass.
Anyway, I had to jump start the car. Now it starts fine. It's just a mistery what happened. Maybe I should take it to a shop to check the battery, alternator?
Anybody had the same experience?

Thanks,
I think so, too. I've been driving in the city lately with frequents stops and starts and probly drained the battery. What should I do to recharge it fast?

i think if you let the car run and then disconnect the batt while its running the alternator should keep it running. If it doesnt then the alt is bad.

this should not impede the car from starting, unless you mean like 10-15 starts a day.
you might have some sort of unwanted draw while the car is off. got any amps/subs in the car?
make sure nothing stays on when you take out the key. if it happens again after you replace the battery, its possible the alternator is weak. what happens then is the battery doesnt recieve a charge and the car runs off the battery almost alone. then when you stop somewhere, the batterys dead, bc its not being charged while the car is on. but if you know the alternator is good, replace the battery, if it happens again, you might have some wiring issues.
good luck!

In fact it was smth like 20-25 stops per day. I'm about 99% sure that this has caused the drain b/c i haven't gone far enough to "recharge" the battery. I'll do it tomorrow and see what happens.
As for the unwanted draw, it never happened before. I had an amp and a MP3 deck with a faceplate. I dosconnect the faceplate and the light stays blinking but it shouldn't be a problem.

I took the car for long ride and battery seemed to have charged (green light appeared in the glass). Then again it died. It looks like it either doesn't hold the charge very well or smth drains it.
I end up calling AAA battery assist. The test showed deficient battery ...
