its a dohc cam zc...and its not GONNA be my honda...when it was MY honda it had a 2nd gen B16...but i sod the motor and now i need to sell the car and like i said i have a zc layin round...soooo..i just wanna know if its straight plug and play or if its needs anything to make it fit...its looks like it will bolt right in..its obd1 and MPI so it should drop right in right...trannys gonna be a hydro tranny so no conversions there...i just want to know what ill be getting into before i get into it...any help please
ok, youll need to use the exhaust and intake manifolds off of the 92-95 motor to retain all of the obd1 equipment. dohc zc's did not come in obd1 config. only obd0. the only obd1 zc was a sohc vtec. the motor will just bolt in and the trans will bolt up to it. what eg do you have. you can stick with the oem ecu as long as its not a vx, you can use it but its not as good. i used a dohc zc in my 94 lx and it was fast as hell. kept up with si's and gsr's.

hmmm well maybe i was misinformed...cause i was told that the zc i bought was dohc obd1 motor...guess the guy didnt know what he was talking???? unless its sohc and i didnt even notice...its still packaged on a crate...hasnt even been unwrapped...i bought it for a guy i was gonna do the swap for and he didnt finish payin me the cash so i kept it..ill have to go check it out now...but anyway i have a dx comp i can use to run it and i already have trans...but itll use all stock mounts...and what kind of harness can i use..i dont have any harness right now whatsoever so ill need to buy one for it...should i just buy a dx harness or what...let me know thanks

well, if its an obd1 zc which has vtec, youll need something like a p28 ecu to run it, or if its just a dohc zc, a p06 will do. as far as a wiring harness, once again, that depends on your engine. not needed but helpful are the wires to run vtec. or you can use a dx,cx,lx harness and add the 2 wires for vtec. stay away from the vx harness if possible. dohc just use the dx,lx,cx harness.
Check out http://www.thezcr.com/ They have a lot of info on the putting in the ZC motor
