'01 Accord Brake Problem
I just replaced the front brakes and rotors on a 2001 Accord LX, no ABS.
Following replacement, I drove the car a couple blocks, braking lightly --
everything seemed fine. It wasn't until later when I braked a bit harder
that I noticed a noise, half way between a "click" and "thump" from the
right front. The noise is only apparent under moderate to hard braking,
gets louder with brake pressure, and is proportinal to wheel speed.
I've taken everything apart and reassembled. Everything looks good, no
apparent wear marks or signs of binding. The car brakes smoothly and evenly
(left to right), with the exception of the noise.
I should add I used Brembo rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
This is driving me crazy. Any ideas?
