I dunnop if they will make a big difference on a newer car, especially an ITR.
now on my 94 GSR they made a world of difference.
but those shifter bushings were beat up from many years of abuse and all season use.

i have enengy suspension's shifter bushings and they work really well. they really give the shifter a more positive persice feel when shifting........
those neuspeed bushings look the same and probably work the same as the energy suspension bushings......

these are the same as the ES ones that I have...you can get them from http://www.summitracing.com for like 10 bucks, but they have a 6.95 handling charge w/ each order, so if you don't need anything else, it's kind of a waste...
I got mine there, but I agree w/ supporting the board sponsors, and they don't carry them, that's how I was directed to summit.
as far as installation, it's much easier to remove the shifter assembly to pop the front bushing on...takes 3 seconds w/ it off, I tried w/ it on and it was a bitch...

Yes these shifter bushings can be had for $17 including shipping (ES ones) from Summit Racing. Installation was a bitch but i got them in. They do make the shift more precise and crisp for sure. Stock bushings are so flimsy compared to these.

Get the ES ones.
I had the ES ones w/ C's short throw... awesome combo, I think the bushing made a bigger diffrance than the short throw.

installation is fairly simple...just make sure you use the grease that comes with the bushings as the bushing that goes bolts onto the tranny is a bitch to put on.
I would say it's easier than putting on a short shifter.

Hmm, I'm still unclear on the installation of these. Can anyone give any more detailed instructions on how to do it?
as for the bushings buy the set for the entire car from energy sus. its only like 110.00 or so and comes w/ the shifter bushings but beware the install is a bitch oh and if you do the entire car do not forget to get a alignment after installing..
hey,
You people with the ES brushings, do you feel that it is harder to upshift "quickly" into 2ed gear? eversince i had the ES shifter brushing i had grind 2 many times. Needless to say i put the stocks back it and i havent grind 2ed once in 3 months.

if you look under your car youll see the stock shift bushings. One at the beginning of the shiftlinkage and one at the end. Have a socket wrench by you so you can take the nut off the linkage. Take the stock bushings off, lube up the aftermarket ones and put em on. It's pretty simple but takes a little elbow grease.
thanx guys, i'm gonna go to crappy tire and see if they have the ES bushings in stock, if not, i'l prolly order them from summit!
