ZC transmission from a 1990 Honda CRX SI JDM Model w/ Intermediate Shaft?? and would there be any performance gains at all? or a decline in performance?

No performance change. Less torque steer, though.

you'll find that the 4 to 5 shift will feel like you haven't gone up a gear at all... 1-2 is very tight and nice. 2-3-4 kinda spread out, and 4-5 so tight it's ridiculous. that's what my buddy says about his zc tranny. if you can, swap in the si final drive into the zc tranny.

you get the nice option of equal length axles too.

Um...NO! All ZC trannys DO NOT work! The ones that fit 86-89 Integras won't bolt up to a 88+ Civic/CRX bellhousing and the starter bolt up either. Please get your facts right before posting next time.

Wrong again! There were jdm dohc zc trannys that fit 86-89 jdm integras, 86-87 civics/crxs, and some other weirdly named jdm-only vehicles that DO NOT BOLT UP TO 88+ USDM CIVIC/CRX ENGINES! They ARE zc trannys! They DO NOT bolt up to most d-series engines! If you don't believe me then search ...

There, that should give you a start. Like I said before, do your homework and get your facts straight before you post, especially if someone has already corrected the same misinformation in the same thread. Read the original post. He doesn't say WHICH zc, just A zc that someone is selling cheap. Why would they sell it cheap? Maybe because it might not fit anything. I have no idea which one he is thinking of buying, it *might* fit, but I still think I should warn him that not all zc trannys fit and to make sure it's the right one before he buys it. Stop posting BS and I'll stop correcting you, mmmkay?

Make sure you get the intermediate shaft with the ZC transmission, because you will need it. From what I have read, you cannot use DX/Si axles.

The proper axles to use with a ZC trans and intermediate shaft in a G4 Civic are '90-93 Integra axles (not '86-89 Integra axles!).

it will bolt in with no problem, but the diff uses a larger inner spline so the stock axles will not work.i swapped a si diff into my zc and it works perfect

can you use the 90-93 integra intermediate shaft if you dont have the ZC intermediate shaft? and which model integra would i order the parts from? GS? w/o ABS right?
