Default 4x114 Swap?

Please don't flame.

Lately I've been thinking of converting to the 4x114 setup.

I really like the one style of Prelude wheels and I'd like to run the 11" (4x114) Prelude brakes on the front.

Is there any way to convert the car over?

just have a machine shop drill out the prelude rotors to 4x100 and then run 92 Accord cailers

see this thread for more details (pages 11+)
https://honda-tech.com/zerothre...ge=11

Evil Drew M is using that setup on his type R. But that is a track car

Not sure about daily driving. with that set up

I understand what you are saying but I still couldn't run Prelude wheels.

I have the Accord Wagon calipers and I am able to machine rotors to 4x100

but the wheels......

so thats the only reason you want to covert to 4x114?

Sounds like a awful lot of work just to run a set of rims,

But whatever floats your boat.

Maybe try to find some prelude knuckles and rear trailing arms,
Not sure if they will work right or not.

Need to swap over Hubs to run any other Lug pattern.
just the rotors won't do.

Back up top

Read the first post
No flaming
The benefit of the 114 was for the wheels and the brakes
Sure I can run the brakes if I redrill but GASP I wouldn't have to redrill if the car was 4x114. Who cares if you don't like it. It's my car. Do I tell you how to mod your car?

Next guy says I can't swap it to 114 just by putting on rotors Thanks Captian Obvious You sell motors is your location. Yeah I wanna buy an engine from you Capt. O.

This forum needs help.

I ask questions on here and get people answering who I am amazed can even turn on their computer.

I figure out the answers to more of my own questions through trial and error vs. the help I get here.

If you are gonna say something asinine, or you don't know the correct answer or you're going to give your opinion on why it shouldn't be done or you're gonna say search.....

SHUT THE **** UP

It should be a forum rule.

you need to buy a complete 4 x 114 ITR conversion. you cant just change the hubs.

I'm going to wanr you now, this is an expensive swap for a long term car once it comes down to replacing parts.

B16B,
Thank you for helping.

I have heard horror stories about finding 4 lug ITR discs.

That's why I was wondering if anyone had ever swapped the hub and bearings out of an Accord or something to make it work or even the whole knuckle.

Let me bounce something off of you quick since you seem like you might know.

If someone ran 94+ GSR knuckles on a CRX it would be all screwed up. That's why they need EX or 90-93 DA parts. Wouldn't using 96 ITR parts cause the same problems? It seems to me that they would be closer to GSR dimentions rather than CRX.

hub is 44610-S10-000 without studs

or 44600-S10-000 with studs

bearing is 44300-S04-A02

The only other Hubs/knuckles that wont screw you up (geometrical) and are BOLT ON are 88-91 EX Sedan hubs.. With that Said you CAN have 4x114 but you have to have the HUBS pressed into your knuckles or ex knuckles.. Same with 5 lug
