Default I think this is what I'm gonna do

I think I'm going to buy a 2004 RSX-S and do as much as possible to make that sucker a type-R.
I saw on some website there was a Type-R

Tell me if this plan is okay for a sort of Project Car of sorts

2004 RSX-Type S

First I'll start by removing the Acura and |A| badge, and slap on an Integra and Red Honda badge

Then I'll probably put some engine mods in..
.
this is where I need your guys help.

I was looking into the Fujitsubo Powergetter exhaust, but that's not enough.

What kind of headers/Cams should I pick up?
I dont want like anything too expensive. Like if theres 2 companies like HKS or DC and the DC has like 2 less HP than an HKS product but the HKS costs like 300 bucks more, than obviously I'll pick up the DC.

Help? Anyone?
What would YOU guys do... strictly engine wise, no cosmetics.

Danke.
Thanks
Domo Origato.

Go with a crower stage 2 cam. Crower valves and valve springs and retainers. Get a DC race header. Hondata Kpro. Get tein suspension or omnipower full coil overs depending on your budget. If you wanna know anything else just ask.

If you really want to make your car a type-R. Get rid of the a2 and put a k20a in there. Get the ITR suspension so you can run the brembos etc...

you need to develop a goal of sorts. so far I see "i got the car. what stuff should i put in it?" well guess what..you can put a lot of stuff into it. anything from turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous kit, coilovers, sway bars, header, exhaust, intake, intake manifold, rims, tires, cams, pistons, valve springs, rods. and those are just the parts you can change, not mentioning the options you have for each part. the path you choose depends on what goal you want out of the car. some ppl go extreme and put a turbocharger and turn it into a 11 second drag monster. other ppl spend their money on suspension and make their car an autocross or a road course monster. still other ppl put thousands of dollars into interior and exterior and electronics to make it a show car. what do YOU want to do with your car and what are YOUR goals and visions?

drive it until the warranty runs out. that should give you enough time to figure out which way to go while just enjoying the car.

um...yeah, you're going to have to add more than intake, header, and exhaust and red emblems to make your car like a DC-5 type-r

Hey guys... I know all about what goals are.
My goal is to make it a competitor in the 13's. All go no show sort of things.
And a type-r is just sort of a thing to have lurking in the back of my head of what it should be.
I know that a red emblem isn't going to make it a type-r vbpep3. Truthfully I'm not some dumb noob who goes "Omg I got this 1337 tip at walmart it looks so kewlelelel"
So please dont treat me as one.

all paths:
tires $400-?????
es motor mounts $60
short shifter $50-$250
shifter bushings $20

all motor way:
cold air intake $200
hondata (either #4 reflash or kpro) $600-$1000
race header $300-$1100
some 60mm straight thru exhaust $500-$1000

learn to drive it and you'll be in 13's

if you don't want to go all motor,

cai $250
nitrous kit ~$1000
you should hit 13's easy

or you could turbo/supercharge and hit 13's too.
