220psi all across the board
250 psi with a little oil added across the board.
I am losing oil and trying to find the problem.
These numbers seem kinda low to me. Pistons are new and were installed 1 1/2 weeks ago. CTR Pistons with JUN III cams. Any info would help

well its been 1200 miles. Ive heard of some cars not seating until way past 2500 miles on a rebuild. At least i know my car is consistant 220 psi across, which believes me to think that its not the rings but my valve seals are still the same seals that were in mt car before, and they take alot of abuse
I have a little more mileage on mine. if you are consistent yea it sounds like something else. might be the seals, i'm doing a leakdown test today, I'm almost 99% positive its the seals.
A way to know for sure is when you start the car up are you getting smoke?

wait a minute you put 1200 miles on , in one and a half weeks? I think its better to do 1200 miles of stop and go driving than 1200 miles freeway driving for breaking in the rings. did you rehone the cylinders?
no just consensation smoke white, but when it reached normal temperature its fine.
Im probably just paranoid and switched to sythetic to soon. Im not leaking oild, just want to know where the hell its going. Im also thinking the valve seals are shot

there's your problem you are using synthetic. you are probably getting blowby.
you are supposed to use reg motor oil to help seat the rings. the synthetic is too light.

220 is kinda low. It should be at least 280 or higher.
The rings usually seat rather quickly, i'd say within a few hundred miles.
I doubt its the oil, but easy way to test is to go back to regular.

well heres an update i changed the oil, switched back to regular from synthetic and gained 30 psi in three cylinders and 35 psi in cylinder #1. So im at 255, 250, 250, 250. Hopefully the rings will get stronger and psi goes up (if that makes sense) Its a gsr btw). If not ill re ring the piston.
