I bought the jvc kd-ar7000 head unit. and i'm now looking to buy front speakers. i know that my car can support 6 1/2 inch speakers. but what is a good brand of speaker. and what makes a speaker good.

anyone with info on subs or amps please reply since i'll be buying those next.

ill say get a 6 1/2 inch component set. its 10 times more clear. it comes with 2 speakers. 2 tweeters. and 2 crossovers. good brands would be polk, infinity or alpine. once u get an amp for speakers i would get a 50x4 rms or a 75x4 rms. you really do not need more than that. i kno that ur headunit is probably around 50x4 watts but trust me it will make a world of difference between amp and headunit. also would be wise to get a crossover. 2 or 3 way. hope this helps

I've had a set of eclipse 2way coax in the front of my civic for 6 years...and they still sound awsome.

Infinity Kappas, give em 50-75 RMS watts but if you have the money, spend a little extra for the component set.

 

mb quarts are great mid and hi range speakers.

 

i just picked up a set of pioneer 3-ways and theyre awesome!

theyre like $72 at best buy...but i got em for $32 with my discount
