How do you get the roll pin out
the size that goes over the pin but can go through the hole as well... i don't know which size off the top of my head, but if you buy a set you'll have them all.
punch hammer done.
punch hammer done.
get a 12mm bolt and take a dremel tool and chamfer the end so that there is a little nipple that fits inside the pin, and then a flat surface on the rest of the bolt in which to drive it out.
works every time.
works every time.

if your doing a swap just yank the whole shift linkage out with the tranny and then beat on it its a lot easier to get it out when its out of the car. just go inside the car and unbolt the shifter.

the pin is under the rubber boot, you can't miss it.
as mentioned earlier an 8mm punch works well. or if you have air tools, an air hammer with a tapered punch also works well.

go to sears. get a 5/16th roll pin punch. it has a nib on the end of the punch that will center it on the roll pin. don't get a taper punch. it'll just get stuck, and probably take longer. the 1/4 roll pin punch will work as well. just make sure it has the nub on the end. i got my pin out in 30 seconds with a 5/16th roll pin punch and a ball peen hammer. nuf said. if everyone used the proper tool, the bitch pin wouldn't be a bitch to get out.

Yup, same here

I use a tappered 8mm punch. 3 taps and it's out. Doesn't cause it to expand in there(and if it does it doesn't seems to cause any problems) And to put it back in I use a pair of tiny vise grips and tap it back into place.
