Default 1st motor swap

It was a little ghetto, but we did it. We used two jack stands and a 3 ton jack. We had no money for a cherry picker so we used all our know how and resources we had. We jacked the car up and took off the front bumper. After that we took the right control arm, brakes and etc off. We slid the motor under the car and rocked the motor back. After that we put the jack right under the motor and had a person hold it on each side and on the back help guide it up. We lined up all the mounts except the tranny cause I figured i will take it off the tranny put the bolt through the mount then guide the bolts from the tranny to the holes on the bottom of the mount. It was easier that way after that we were done. We still need to get a slave cylinder and some other misc. things.

haha I know your pain man. My brother had to swap a d16y8 into his crx last saturday and we had like 5 guys total to help. Jacked car up and slid engine under and secured it. The we did the transmission. A pain but it works. lol Eveerything was in in about 4-5 hours I think. Brother (16) didn't have a cherrry picker so one day he took everything out piece by piece. Crazy lil kid

i can see that we are in the same boat, i did this with my B16A swap
1. jack car up
2. remove Xmember, and axles, and tires
3. remove wires loom, and shiftlinkage
4. unbolt motor, tilt, remove
5. make dents
6. push new motor under car
7. lower car onto motor
8. bolt in
9. rewire
10. add axles, xmember, wiring and misc items, tires, and the like.....then.....starter up
took me 15 hours with no cherry picker or hand tools...

Honestly it was not that hard with out the picker. only took us two hours two actually get the motor in the car. To tell you the truth i will probably never use a cherry picker. The only problem is finding friends that want to get dirty and help doing it. We did it with three guys working and the other two sideline coaching. I figure if we have a big enough jack then I can knock it out easy. That thing is heavy as hell, and you cant carry it further than 4 feet. i guess whatever works and it was definately worth it. and for egjoe this is sterling i was talking to you and jazon uses my sn. For whatever the reason he didnt call you i guess he doesnt like money but since thats the case me and you can hook up and i will go behind his back. jk but hit us up tomorrow so we can try and work something out. Sorry about that man Peace

all i want to know if i can buy it or not, thats all, if yes then let me know when, if not then, ill move on.

you both have my number so call me when your ready. But I would a appreciate if you tell me ahead of time, if you/him whoever, decide not sell it, so I wont expect a call.
