Temporary ECU PG7 or PM6 for a D16z6 ? ? ? ?
i got 89 dx hatch. had a teg zc d16a1 but blew it and putting in my friends d16z6 sohc vtec. i am converting to obd1 and using a p28 within a couple of months. so in the meantime which ecu shud i run bet, i have the civic si pm6 ecu or the 84-89 integra pg7 ecu ????? i have both ecu's so jus wondering what yall think is better.
89 teg ECU is PG7? Hmm I always thought it was PM7. Either one will work. I used my PM6 with my Z6 for over 10,000 miles when I didn't wanna pay for the boomslang harness and convert to OBD1. Didn't have any problems. GL Hope this helps
yeah i got the 84-89 teg ecu pg7
i think someone told me the pg7 has more agressive fuel curves than the pm6 or somehtine like that that the pg7 is better.

i ran the pm6 on my z6 for almost a year, then switched to pg7. haven't gone back to pm6 mainly because with the pg7 you can go all the way to redline without hitting rev limiter early
I have a PM7 right now and its working good. I have to have the RPM Activated Swtich for vtec becuase im OBD0. Doesnt it matter what odb it is for the right ecu??

if you don't convert to obd1, vtec has to be on a rpm activated switch or toggle switch or something like that

88-89 pg7 or 88-91 pm6 will work fine. dont bother with anything pre 88.
