does anyone have a crower stroker kit???
has anyone used or have a crower stroker kit? letter on i plan on buying this stroker kit for my ls. i plan on making it a 2.10 or maybe even a 2.26 liter motor.
for the 2.10 it has a bore of 84mm and a stroke of 95mm which makes the 2.10 liter.
the 2.26 liter has a bore of 87mm and a stroke of 95mm which is the biggest size crower makes which comes out to a 2.26 liter out of a B18a/b/c or b20b (crv).
my question is can this be daily driven? i heard that any stroker kit is for race only. what kinda of numbers can you expect out of this? is this worth it for 2300 bux?

I had a kit several years back that I picked up as part of a trade, the guy I bought it from got the billet crank option and even though it's been beat on for 4 straight years and been through three more owners there have been no problems
I am running a Crower stroker crank-92mm. Longevity is considerably reduced with stroked motors-more side loading etc. with the shorter rods. Worth it? Kind of subjective. For me, yes.
what is the total thickness on a stock sleeve anyway? the stock bore is 81mm correct? anychance you guys will know how thin the walls would be with 87 mm bore? and sorry for the noob questions but also what is the bore stroke ratio formula or the rod stroke ratio for the 87mm bore with a 95mm stroke?

i don't think you would have them anymore..
definately get the block re-sleeved, its must.

I'm planning on going the same way, 92mm stroke and 85mm bore, but in a Dart tall deck so i will still have a 1.6+ R/S ratio. Or you can get custom pistons with the wrist pin moved up to accomodate longer rods, if you're using a stock block.
Just look at the pistons Tech43Racing offers, these have a compression height of 0.852", with these you can have a 92mm stroke and still have close to stock R/S ratio. If you're getting the stroker kit from Crower i beleive custom rods and pistons is part of the package, just talk to them and tell them your plans, they should be able to help you get a good combo.
