but i figured i'd try anyways.. just cuz

hehe, anyways,
I'm looking at some of the new clarion cd/mp3 decks, and i might pick one up,
specifically the DXZ645MP or DXZ745MP
I really like the color changing feature, and they're styled nicely too.

is it good stuff? I really know very little about car audio so I figured you guys were
the ones to ask before I shell out my money.

How would you compare to the lower end pioneer decks?

clarion decks are good ****. a lot of people think they're too conservative. they rate amongst the alpine decks, but they lose often b/c alpine and pioneer blow it out the water.

you mean visually or functionally?

aside from the visual things i'd like to know how good they are.
I can decide myself what looks good, heh.

 

Personallyyy i wouldnt go with clarion... get pioneer...alpine..(too expensive though)...stick with pioneer.. THey look good, sound good, good feautres...

basically i'm looking at either clarion or pioneer,

the styling on the pioneer is kinda fancy, so i'm alittle tempted,
but the clarion is definetely more my style, and you can chance the display/buttons to light up to the color of your choice, which is cool.

prettymuch i'm set on the clarion unless theres something adversely wrong
with it I should know about!

Pioneer comez wid mostly Xm radio
and that clarion unit u picked out comes with sirus..

also pionner has more controls for subs and etc.. and has Equalizerz built into it..

hmm, ok,

yeh clarion still sounds good to me.

whats sirus?
i know i have no intention of getting xm ,heh.

and i only run 2 speakers in my car(rear is gutted)
equalizer would be nice but.. meh..
