Default My results dyno CTR vs Sk2 over 200hp

Just thought I would share my comparison CTR cams VS skunk2 stage 2's
The set-up
97 GSR block with stock bore Pr3 pistons
ITR head shaved .33thou mild port 3 angel valve job
Skunk 2 stage 2 valve springs and retainers
port matched intake mani ITR TB stock
92 lude injectors
D.C ITR JDM 4-1 pretty flat on the bottom
JDM stock air box
Crush bend 2 /14 exhaust 5Zigen can
Tuned with a Fields Vtec controller Vtec liked 5300

On the CTR's I hit 194 with 139 tq after tuned and the Skunk2 stage 2's after 2hrs tunning I hit 204 140tq

I know my exhaust and header are really hurting me my intake box too.
I hope I can dip in the 12's with the street tire pray for me
here's the graphs
CTR vs Skunk2 stage 2's

Skunk2 stage 2's

Any questions or coments are welcome please post here as my IM is fucked up thanks Rob

Mine looks the same way. I like to make myself feel better about it by pretending that it improves my low end power Would like to cut it out and reweld it at some point.

Nice graphs; I'm especially impressed with the power you were making with the CTR cams -- good power for a factory cam.

Those numbers are nutz just to be tuned with a VTEC controller. A good I/H/E and a tune with a standalone would be

Good luck getting in the 12s

Yes we did but my clearences are tight cause of the shaved head someone fucked up but any way I only have 65mm exh and 80mm intake valve to piston so I didn't want to hit anything since I'm 2nd in points series only trailing by 60 pts so I need to win the last event I don't want to hit anything Rob

Nice Dyno Chart! You could try getting bigger injectors(310) and turn your fuel pressure down, you should make a little bit more with them.

92-96 Prelude injectors are 345cc
97+ Prelude are 270cc

One question though; how are you running 70psi! Isn't 60-80psi supposed to damage injectors?

Nice #'s!!!

I had a similar motor and dyno. I broke into the 12's with bfg's and a 1.91 60ft in a 2050lb hatch.

Is that .33 of 1/1000th, point .33 inches or is that 33 thousanths of an inch (ie. 033in)? I am assuming 0.033in. Just being an #%@ again.

the skunks didnt beat the ctrs till 6k, but very impressive numbers
you build and numbers was similar to mine with the ctrs (in sig) only i have less compression, i'd be curious to see what mine would do with the skunks

very impressive. i wonder what a real intake, 2.5" mandrel exhaust and better header would do, 215whp maybe?
