HAHA!
you don't even pony up for the 89

Could have been just me, but I always seemed to get the best milage and smoothness from 89

At an autocross a couple weeks ago I ran out of gas (was cutting out around turns), so I bought some off someone that had brought a gas can. It was 94 octane. Worked okay for the autocross, but when I was just cruising on the way home it started backfiring!!! Pulled over at the next station and filled up with 87 and smooth sailing the rest of the way home.

If youre going to run in Honda Challenge there is no need to use anything more than 94 octane. We can't run high enough compression to make it even worthwhile using 100 octane.
Weve tried everything from 110 to 87.

We made enough compression on both a 1.8 and 2.0 to justify 100. Plus you can do all sorts of nice things with the timing that you can't on 93.

I dynoed my car on 87 and 91 (i did not change anything) and made 2 HP more on 87.. untill I start to change things I'm sure I will need to use 91 or better..
