do you all think a full hytech exhaust is worth it
Do you all think that a full hytech exhaust system is worth it or should I just get the header and get a different catback system. I guess that the full hytech system is 2000 dollars and the header is 1300 so your paying 700 dollars for a catback exhaust system. To me that seems a little steep but i dont know a whole lot. The main part i like about the catback system he sells is the twin loop muffler and i think that it is like 300 some dollars. Can you all recomend what to do or what you all have done.
yea the renault cat is pretty expnesive it wont **** on u after 20k or so like the carsounds
. well theres many variables like if ur running rich and stuff but the carsound arent going to last long. but the renault one has stock qualities its going to last a long time at least 100k. its defintiely worth a lot of money considering a stock itr cat is 1300 bucks fromt he factory. i emailed john from hytech long ago for the muffler he wanted 300 bucks just for the muffler. some other random brand started to make the twin pass muffler i saw in some ad. and if its tig welded and if they use argon to purge before welding thats a lot of money in materials and work and stuff i say at 700bucks its definitely worht the money.
but imo a decently made catback system mandrel bent piping from kteller with a good magnaflow str8 through muffler and st8 through cat like the carsound got some damn good cfm flow numbers. it is going to perform around the same as hytech and you might save some but nothing beats how the hytech sounds and quality. so do wutever u want if u got the cash id go with hytech.

You're asking for subjective opinions.
There are things you could do that'll give you almost the same flow and power (somebody mentioned kteller), and your yourself have to decide if the extra money's worth having Hytech.
Even SMSP has a do-it-yourself system that rivals the kteller parts for price.

ive onced heard it was 600 bucks but im not too sure on that. also the only problem i c with the exhaust system is the renault cat hangs way too low its like a bigger semi circle and is not as long in length compared to a carsound. i saw a car with hytech exhaust on a dyno and the cat was scratched up and the car wasnt that much lowered it probably had stock itr suspension. and he told me it scrapes sometimes.

Yes i believe retail is $500-600 for the cat alone so a $200 extra for a system with cat is good value. It is true that it's a big **** so it does hang lower than a stock cat or a Carsound, but i have not had problems with it getting scratched up, i do however have a few scratches on my header primaries in the bends right under the oil pan. I'm running stock suspension on my R btw.
Here's a pic of my system:

Exhaust is $900 with cat and $700 without it, when purchased with the header i got both for $2100, and the header goes for $1300 by itself so that makes it a $100 discount when getting the complete system. I do beleive John gets the Renault cats for consideribly less than retail but even still it's a very good deal for a full 2,5" stainless exhaust, and quality is second to none. Only had to hammer the heatshields a bit to get rid of some occasional rattling, other than that the fit whas excellent.

I got jdm dc sport($250), carsound cat w/ flanges and all($160), kteller exhaust($250), magnaflow muffler and silencer($120). That's about $750. So for the price you say I personally also got B.C. 3+cams, gears, obd1 conversion, ecu, valve springs, and will get hondata and a base tune all on my b16 for the same price of about $2000. I'll give a little on the exhaust to gain alot other places. lol
