i have a 91 hatch with a y8 swap, today while in a parking lot in 1st gear around 2.5-3k car starts bogging bad then dies and wont start again. It trys to turn over but, sounds like its not getting fuel or spark. I had some dizzy problems a couple weeks ago, thats why i think its my distributer. But, im kind of a noob so please help me out with this trauma.

hey dude im kinda havin the same problem.....but i had spark....but now i dont have any at all there is power goin to my distributor but i think the modules fucked....so if that helps ya any good luck to ya

 

did u check if it was getting spark ? or fuel ? check both ? then tell us.

 

I had a similar problem. It sounds like you arent getting good spark. It is probly your igniter, coil, rotor, wires, plugs your cap. Check those kind of things. My problem was cured after I put a new igniter in.

im havein same type of problem 89 civic dx........lots of gas no spark

 

most likely its my dizzy, i had some problems a while back with it throwing codes but i will find out tonight whats wrong with it
