Default 1300 degree exhaust temp. whats the problem

well i finally got a chance to get my egt probe installed on my new header. when i am cruisin around 4k rpm. not really any load. just cruisin at steady speed. the exhaust temp gets around 1200-1300 and above.

this would lead me to think leanin out. but the car was tuned on hondata and wideband O2. and it was by a prety reputable tuner.

so i was basically wonderin if anyone had an idea of anything else it could be??

im gonna try and pull some of the plugs after night shift tonite, and see what they look like.

BTW, it is a b18c1. 11.5/1 cr , port polished head, stage2 cams, skunk IM and DC header.

That does not seem to be a problem, what is it at a full throttle run, should be 1250-1280 @1 inch outof the port.

ya its about a 1 and a half inch out from the head on number 3 runner.

and yes at WOT its closer to 1280.

i always thought that was prety hot. i didnt think it would go above 1200. unless really loaded down.

anyway, thanx for the input.
