How do you guys get rid off fog without A/C?
As the subject says the 97-98 Type Rs didn't have AC. So how do you guys get rid of fog build up inside when it's raining outside?
Just to clarify in 97-98 A/C was an option.
You could buy FogX(Product from the same people who make RainX) or use the shaving cream trick. A roadrace guy told me that you can wipe it on the inside of your window and let it dry, then wipe it away to leave a thin film and it won't fog up.

Dirty windows tend to fog up more. I have a 97R and when winter comes around (when I used to drive the car) I'd always try to keep them clean.
I'd crack the window slightly and turn up the heat. During rain....having window visors help a lot, but a little heat made the fog go away if you do not use any anti-fog products.
One thing I noticed is when the car is not moving/stuck in traffic, the windows will fog up even with the fan blowing....however, once the car starts rolling....it clears up (windows closed)

AC was only available as a Dealer Installed option in 97. 98 I'm unsure about, some people swear there's came equipped so either it was the only option or it was again a dealer installed option. Original window stickers from a 98 showing AC listed would put this to bed...

CDM ITRs are all A/C-less from the factory...
I was pretty sure A/C became standard after '99 for you in the states to entice the mainstream buyer a bit more...
Blasting the heat usually does the trick and the rear defogger... doesn't it feel weird doing that in the summer?
If that doesn't work, opening the windows is the only sure fire way.
I've had friends use FogX and they say it is a pain in the *** to apply properly, they always get streaks...

I didn't realize this, but have had this dilemma multiple times on track. You can wash the windshield and windows with Ivory dishwashing soap and prevent fog. It really works.
Hmm... so looks like eithers keep the windows clean and/or crank the window a little. I was thinking about the FOGx thing but read reviews that it hazes.
I'm thinking of removing my AC (tracking a lot more now) but it's still a daily driven car and I'm not worried about the heat but more the fact that what happens if it's 20 (celcius) and it's raining outside and humid. I'm going to die if I have to crank the heat to get rid off the fog.
So I guess any car without AC runs into this problem huh?

Ok some ******* has to say it so i guess it will be me......
dont drive in the rain
<---Jon, whose Beater doesn't have A/C or heat and fights the fog every dewy, frosty morning
. I am seriously going to look into the Ivory trick....it may make my drive to work about 15 minutes quicker

as long as you have the heat on warm, not hot, and direct from the outside, not recirculated, your windows shouldnt fog, or should un-fog very quickly with little discomfort
Cool. Thanks for the reply guys!
I actually have a Prelude but was hesitant about removing the AC because of this. We actually don't get any more power by removing the AC but I'm removing it because of my oil cooler and I need more air flow as I was overheating the last time at the track. Oh and the 35lbs is just a bonus.
